Your browser decodes the file with the Web Audio API. Peak, RMS, LUFS approximation, dynamic range, clipping, and a 32-band Goertzel spectrum are computed locally. The audio itself never leaves your machine.

A&R model judges
Only the measurements travel to Artyfile’s A&R model. Within 10 seconds you receive a quality score (1–10), AI probability, genre guess, mood, three concrete mix/master tips, and a short A&R summary.

Real measurements, not vibes
Most "AI feedback" tools are pure language-model guessing. We measure first — peak, RMS, LUFS approximation, dynamic range, clipping percentage, and a 32-band Goertzel spectrum — then ask the model to reason from numbers.

What is the Artyfile Instant A&R Check?+
A free tool for musicians. Drop an MP3, your browser analyses the audio locally, and our A&R model returns a quality score, AI probability, and three concrete mix tips within 10 seconds.
Is my audio file uploaded or stored?+
No. The file is decoded and measured only inside your browser. Only the computed numbers (peak, RMS, LUFS approximation, dynamic range, 32-band spectrum) are sent to our server. The server writes nothing to disk and replies with an X-No-Retain: true header.
How does the check detect AI-generated music?+
Heuristically. The A&R model looks at patterns typical of AI music: very low dynamic range, unnaturally flat high-end roll-off, heavy clipping combined with perfect normalisation. A high score (≥0.7) is not proof — every borderline call is reviewed by a real human on submission.
Does it cost anything?+
No, the check is completely free and requires no account. We make money on actual distribution (€59.90 per track), not on the A&R check.
Which audio formats are accepted?+
MP3 up to 8 MB. Standard CBR or VBR at 44.1 or 48 kHz work best. 30–60 seconds of the track is enough for the analysis.
How reliable is the quality score?+
The score is based on measurable loudness, dynamic range, and spectrum values plus our A&R model’s language-model judgment. It is a useful early signal but never a substitute for human A&R. On a real submission a human team listens within 7 business days.
Does this work on mobile?+
Yes. Modern mobile browsers support the Web Audio API. Decoding on older devices can take a few seconds longer; anything over ~90 seconds is sampled from the middle of the file anyway.
What if the check flags my track as AI-generated?+
If you are confident your track is human-played and original, submit anyway and briefly describe the recording context (studio, instruments, collaborators) in your application. Every borderline call is reviewed by a real A&R team — the heuristic is only a filter against bulk spam.
